Dedicated Driver for Petsmart Loads – Reno to Seattle

We are seeking experienced drivers to run our dedicated route between the Petsmart DC in Reno and locations in Seattle, with returns looping south through Southern California. You will be supported by one of the best fleet management teams in the industry, and earn a great well-rounded set of pay and benefits working within a family environment.

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Time & Schedule: Home 2 days a week
  • Route: Pick up Monday afternoon in Sparks, NV. Deliver Wednesday midmorning in Seattle – Live unload.  The return trip runs to Southern California and back to Reno. Drivers can live in Reno, Seattle, Las Vegas, or Southern California
  • Level of Touch: Preloaded with live unloads

  • Late model Freightliner & Volvo trucks
    • No older than 3 model years
  • Automatic Transmission
  • Premium interior packages – Satellite TV available
  • 100% Prepass and Electronic log equipped
  • Qualcomm & Transflow Systems
  • Personal Fleet Manager
  • Inward / Outward Cameras: activated on incidents

Benefits

  • Average Pay: $65,000, many drivers make more depending on their driving experience
    • Drivers are paid a competitive base CPM (based on a graduated pay scale based on experience) with 2,600 average miles weekly
    • Additional Pay:
      • $3,000 sign-on bonus
        • Paid out $500 each quarter and $1,000 on the first anniversary
      • Performance Bonuses (mileage, idle, and fuel efficiency):
        • Amounts vary, talk to your recruiter
      • Longevity Bonus: Quarterly $0.03 CPM bonus after 1 year of employment
      • Accessorial Pay:
        • Detention – Drivers will be paid $18 per hour after the first two hours
        • Layover and Breakdown Pay – Drivers will be paid $18 per hour. Breakdown and Layover pay is capped at 5 hours or $90.
  • Weekly pay is available on your Comdata Card or via Direct Deposit

Requirements

  • Must have a Class-A CDL
  • Must be at least 23 years old, have a minimum of 1 year of verifiable Class-A driving experience with a clean driving record for the last 5 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 50 miles of:
    • Reno/Sparks, NV
    • Las Vegas, NV
    • Fontana, CA
    • Seattle/Tacoma, WA
